You need a binder (that we will set up during the second or third week of school), a composition book, assorted highlighters, index cards, paper, and pencils. I will supply you with a textbook, a literature workbook, and a vocabulary workbook.

Binder - You will keep your binder in my classroom on your designated shelf. This is where you will keep your notes, graded assignments, bellwork, and ongoing assignments.

Spiral notebook/composition book - We will use the front of your notebook to make a list of words that you misspell so you can learn from your mistake. The rest of the notebook will be used for our Free-Write Friday journal entries.

Index cards - These will be used for a variety of purposes. We will use them for exit cards, flash cards, and research projects. Please turn these in to Ms. White for a class supply.

Assorted Highlighters - We use these heavily during our novel units where we highlight characterization, setting, literary devices, and vocabulary.
